The bed was comfortable.

Sheets were dirty, bathroom was old and dirty, carpets were dirty.

In the past we have gotten excellent hotels of 2 and a half, three star that were high quality, this star rating offered hotels such as Comfort Inn and Jameson Inn and we got a terrible Hotel 8.

Smoking rooms absolutely stink - not aired well at all.

Good for a night or two but would never want to stay there on a vacation or something.

The continental breakfast had a few slices of bread and some sour milk with stale cereal for both mornings.

The location was great and scenes from the TV series "In The Heat Of The Night" were actually filmed in the building. Other than that, it was average at best. It could've been worse, but there were other comparable hotels within a mile at cheaper prices. Don't stay at the Super 8 in Covington, GA if the Continental Breakfast is important to you. You'd be better off getting a few Little Debbie snack cakes from the c-store across the street. ...read more
